Sheep, sheep & more sheep

A fun new class at the loft is this one taught by Deby Wickham, wool roving sheep!

That wonderful wool roving that we all love to use for embellishing quilts, stitched projects, purses, dolls, etc. makes the most adorable sheep!

We'll let you know when Deby adds another session. . . . . . . . maybe another animal????

Aaaahhh. . . . Kansas!

It's amazing how drastically the topography can change in just a days drive!

We like the hay rolls, but we love the boxes!!!

John Arford, that wonderfully talented refinisher had stacks of them ready for us this time!! YEA . . . .we love you John!!!

We poked around, in and out of many other places across I36 in Kansas and came up with almost nothing except for a wonderful 12 tin pie safe for Susan (I'll send you a picture soon)!!

BUT . . . . . have no fear!  We got word of a terrific barn sale happening in a couple of weeks in Missouri so we parked our truck and trailer in Kansas City, booked a round trip flight home and will continue this trip on September 30th.  See you then!  Joe & Sharon

On the road again!

After a week vacation in beautiful Montana, we are headed back to the midwest in search of treasures.  We took one little Harley ride in South Dakota down the Needles Highway on our way.  We couldn't resist with a name like that and the scenery was beautiful.

I'm not the best photographer off the back of a motorcycle but here are just a few shots.  The highway is so named because of the rock formations that are sharp and pointed.

The closer we got the more impressive it was.  This is one of the roads that goes around Mt. Rushmore.  There sure is a lot of granite in these hills!

Tomorrow we head to the plains of Kansas so we really enjoyed the pine trees and mountains in this part of the country on our last day here.

Tune in tomorrow and hopefully we will have pictures of treasures to share!

Woolies from Primitive Gatherings!

NEW . . . . .From Primitive Gatherings and MODA these great new woolies are just the thing to get you in the fall spirit!

They are actually cotton flannels that come in a wonderful assortment of plaids, stripes and colors that make you think fall just by looking at them.  And of course we have fat quarters just waiting for you!

Being allergic to wool, Mindy especially likes these! Now she can get that wonderful, wool primitive look in so many projects! No more itching and sneezing for her!

STAY TUNED - Tomorrow we start our trek across Kansas for more antiques.  Who knows what we will find this time!
