The finds from a very long antique trip finally made it to the store! We packed our shed to the rafters and thought you would like to have a preview!
Here's that wonderful old red shelf unit we bought at our last stop. It is so beautifully made, the corners are mitered!!!
And here are stacks & stacks of those wonderful old boxes we all love. They are all finished so nicely and just ready to be stuffed with fabric, wool, or whatever!!
Come in and browse, I'm sure you will find a treasure or two! JoAnn and I will be working at the store tomorrow and will be more than happy to help you with your "Treasure Hunt".

Well, on the final shopping day of this very long trip we found more hay . . . . . . . . . .
A lot more cows . . . . . . . . . . .
Nice barns, but I think they were full of cows and hay!
Not until we made one last stop did we find a real treasure. It's a great old shelf unit with original red paint. We had to unload a few things to squeeze it in, but no way could we leave this behind!!!
I think we are at max fill here. The only way we could fit more in would be to take the Harley out and Joe could ride and I could drive the truck and trailer.
Hmmm. . . . . that sounds like too much fun for him and too much work for me so I guess we are done!!!
A couple of scenery pictures that I just have to share. I don't think I've ever been on such a beautiful drive as the one we ended our day with today.
I-70 thru the Rocky Mountains from Denver to Glenwood Springs was prettier than I've ever seen it.
Around each turn was another burst of glorious color. The yellows were so vibrant in the mid-day sun that they seemed to be lit with neon lights!
We'll be home in about 4 days and we will try our best to have everything in the store by Saturday, October 15th. We hope to see you then and thanks so much for joining us on this trip!

Driving through the eastern Kansas countryside is so different from the plains and hay rolls of western Kansas. And especially this time of year the scenery is beautiful!!
We stopped at a farm just outside of Kansas City where we know someone has been collecting treasures for us.
Because of all the flooding and storms over the last few months, picking in the midwest hasn't been that great, but our friends were still able to gather a few goods things!
Then it was across the Missouri River and on to our next stop!
This is another place where we know we can usually find some of the things we love and sure enough, we came away with some more treasures.
And just when we are about to call it a day, we see another sign for an antique sale. . . . it was pointing down towards this barn, wouldn't that be great!!!
Well, it was only a yard sale at the farmhouse behind the barn, but there were a few things I just couldn't resist!!
And that's all for today folks, time to look for a place to hit the hay (hopefully a hotel, not a field)!!!

Wow . . . after many hours of driving and searching we spotted the barn off in the distance.
We finally made it to the much anticipated Barn Sale! At first glance, it looked like it might be worth it!
I had a feeling this was going to be a great day!
The inside and outside was loaded with goodies and we spent over 4 hours shopping and loading. The only thing is, we forgot to pile everything up outside and take pictures like we did last time . . . . .road weary and lack of sleep I guess.
You'll have to trust me that we did find a lot of great things here and we will be sure to get pictures of our finds at our next stops which will be tomorrow.
