A day of rest . . . . . now heading west!

We had to take a day off after all that loading,  our old bodies don't spring back like they used to!

Glad we did though because we had time to contact some other people and we were able to add a few more great pieces before we started our trek west.

And here it is, the wide Missouri.  We're one state closer to home and heading into the flat lands of Kansas.

You would think those clouds would be dropping rain, but none that we have seen so far.

The corn crops here are just as dry, we haven't seen a green crop yet in two states.

These cows don't seem to mind that the grass is a little dryer than usual.

Our last stop for this trip and we were able to pick up a few of John Arford's beautifully refinished pieces.  Not as many boxes, but his tables and benches are amazing.

A new crop has sprung up amongst the dead corn fields of Kansas.  I don't remember seeing the windmills here before, but it is sure the perfect place.  We always head into a strong wind with our heavy load and the going is really slow!

We hope to have all these treasures in the store for you by October 12th.  We have to take it a little slower going home . . . . . our backs just can't take the long days on the road anymore!

In fact, I just had to share this picture with you of my wonderful I.T. guy getting the pictures ready for me to blog at night.  He has a phone in each hand, two lap tops, an IPad under his elbow and of course the TV remote within reach.

I'm so glad he can do all this laying down because his very sore back needs a much needed rest after all this lifting, loading and miles and miles of driving!!!

Bye for now everyone, we'll see you soon!!!  Thanks for joining us on our travels!!  Joe & Sharon
