"Antique Time"

Mark your calendars and be ready for Saturday, October 12th when those magnificent
Antique's Arrive at The Country Loft!

Joe and Sharon Smith pulled a 16 foot trailer, filled to the top, all the way from Kansas just for us! Sharon says we can look forward to beautiful tables, wood boxes and dozens of blue ball jars. Scroll down and check last weeks blogs to see the wonderful pieces that will be here Saturday.
We will be Open from 10-5 and look forward to seeing you at The Loft.

We've just received more copies of
"Another Place and Time"

It's a beautiful book written by Maggie Bonanomi and has 18 primitive projects in it. You will be inspired to make many of the projects. She has hooked rugs and pillows, quilts, wall hangings and pincushions. There are even veggies to make!

Little Women met last week and had a very lively show and tell.

It's fun to be in the shop when they meet.

Thank you Donna and Leigh for a great day,
and all the Ladies too!

We have some wonderful Home Decorator fabric in cotton, that is great to work with. It's 16 inches wide and the edges are already finished. It comes on a roll and we have it with white, tan or red stripes.

It can be made into table runners or place mats. We show it here as a pillow too. The weave is so nice and could be embroidered and or appliqued onto also.

We think you will find other uses for it too.

Tina Rainer is teaching this terrific "Sew As You Go" Purse on Friday, October 25th from 10-4.

Tina says you could easily finish it that day!

Call or come in to sign up for class.
Class fee is $23.00

Thanks again for stopping by today...

A day of rest . . . . . now heading west!

We had to take a day off after all that loading,  our old bodies don't spring back like they used to!

Glad we did though because we had time to contact some other people and we were able to add a few more great pieces before we started our trek west.

And here it is, the wide Missouri.  We're one state closer to home and heading into the flat lands of Kansas.

You would think those clouds would be dropping rain, but none that we have seen so far.

The corn crops here are just as dry, we haven't seen a green crop yet in two states.

These cows don't seem to mind that the grass is a little dryer than usual.

Our last stop for this trip and we were able to pick up a few of John Arford's beautifully refinished pieces.  Not as many boxes, but his tables and benches are amazing.

A new crop has sprung up amongst the dead corn fields of Kansas.  I don't remember seeing the windmills here before, but it is sure the perfect place.  We always head into a strong wind with our heavy load and the going is really slow!

We hope to have all these treasures in the store for you by October 12th.  We have to take it a little slower going home . . . . . our backs just can't take the long days on the road anymore!

In fact, I just had to share this picture with you of my wonderful I.T. guy getting the pictures ready for me to blog at night.  He has a phone in each hand, two lap tops, an IPad under his elbow and of course the TV remote within reach.

I'm so glad he can do all this laying down because his very sore back needs a much needed rest after all this lifting, loading and miles and miles of driving!!!

Bye for now everyone, we'll see you soon!!!  Thanks for joining us on our travels!!  Joe & Sharon
