Quilt Market . . . . . .Amazing!!!

Joe and I thought we had visited most of the fabulous cities in this country during our antique trips, but until Quilt Market we had missed Pittsburg.

Known as the "City of Bridges" and my husband's home town (he left at 6 months old) it is really a beautiful city and you should definitely put it on your list of places to visit!

Of course the first booth we visited was The Cottage At Cardiff Farms and isn't it cute! We are so fortunate to be Kathy's hometown shop!!!

Do your recognize the Barn Quilt?  One hundred of our lucky customers are doing it right now, but she was just tempting the stores at market.

The book for the Barn Quilt will be coming out in the fall, so if you missed out on the kits be sure to get on a list for the book!

We have Kathy's four new patterns too!

And, for those of you who missed out this year, I am giving everyone six months notice on one of our blocks of the month for next year . . . .

This is Norma Whaley from Timeless Traditions Quilts and that amazing diamond quilt called "How Does Your Garden Grow" is so perfect for our store.  It is made with all of our favorite things . . . . . .wools, plaids, and textured cottons!!!

Norma has promised us a trunk show in the fall with many of her beautiful creations.  Be sure to call and get on the list!!!

There were so many fabulous booths at market, but I'm just going to highlight a few of our favorites . . . . . . .

I know many of you recognize Kathy Campbell from Heart To Hand.  You will love all of her new patterns and . . . . . . you will get to see many of them in person at our Sew for the Cure sale on June 7th.  She has so graciously promised us a Trunk Show for that week!!!

And of course, another hometown girl, Joan Grenke from Bits And Pieces by Joan!  I know you recognize many of the things hanging in her booth because they are usually hanging on the walls of our store!!!

Joan is a sweetheart for so generously letting us use her samples!!!  I know you all love her things and we will have all her new and old patterns back in the store soon!!!

And what would we do without Tonya and Cyndi from Blackberry Primitives.  They are our main wool source and have come to our rescue so many times when we needed a certain color to finish up some kits!!

We will have their new patterns, plus wool and velvet bundles at our Market Party, May 31st!

I know you are very familiar with Stacy from Buttermilk Basin because we were so lucky to have her teach at our store just a few months ago.  That is her husband George with her.  He's the one who keeps her sane and organized!!!!  What would we do without our wonderful husbands!!!

Stacy has SOOOO many new things and you will get a great preview of things to come at our market party!

And lastly, one picture I forgot to get (probably because I was so excited!) was of Debbie Busby from Wooden Spools Designs.  However, you don't really need a picture because you will be able to meet her in person when she comes to teach at our store in the fall!!!  YEA!!!  Now you are excited too!!  Be sure to get on the wish list for her classes.  We will also have a preview of many of her new patterns on the 31st.

In addition we will have a trunk show from Dawn at Sew Cherished in the fall plus we have many of her patterns and her beautiful hand dyed wool for our Market Party.

And for you "crazy stitchers" we will have new patterns from Gail Pan, Hatched and Patched, Kathy Schmitz and more!!! Plus a trunk show from Bird Brain is in the works!

I will have Susy give you all the details of our Market Party in a few days, but be sure to save Saturday the 31st of May because that will be a very fun day!  We'll see you all at the store . . . . . Joe & Sharon
